Budget Control - Give Your Voice Power!

There has been a lot of talk lately from politicians about the national budget and our economy. In fact, the House of Representatives announced today that they are implementing a 6-month stop gap to prevent the government from shutting down. With all of these issues escalating, it seems like our voices become more and more weak. Why isn't there any easy way to get our ideas to our representatives?

There is! BudgetControl.com is a website that gives people the power to voice their opinions about the national budget. You are first given a graph of the national budget and tools to adjust it. As you adjust the budget, the site informs you as to what the consequences are to your additions and subtractions.

Once you have finished with your budget, you are given a second graph. This time, you can apply the many different plans that politicians have for balancing the budget. It will show you what the consequences are for these plans.

After finishing both budgets, the website gives you access to some great resources. You can share your ideas with Facebook, Twitter, AND your political representatives! That's right - you simply enter in your zip-code and it will generate those who represent you at the local, state, and national levels. You select which representatives you wish to send your ideas to and the website does the rest.

Currently, in order to get in touch with your political representatives, you will have to research who represents you, go to their individual websites and send them your ideas. One thing a lot of people don't know - is most of these websites don't send an email to the representatives. They take your information and send it out as a letter. Budgetcontrol.com circumnavigates this by giving you direct access to all of your representatives emails.

So - 1 email sent to each of your representatives with your ideas??? That is too cool!
